GENERAL SESSION 1 – INTRODUCTION: CONQUERING MORE MOUNTAINS
Be ready to be encouraged by our Founder and Executive Director, as he begins the convention with an exhortation on the life of Joshua when he asked God to grant him a specific mountain that was currently occupied by his enemies.
GENERAL SESSION 5 – FINAL CHALLENGE: EXPANDING OUR REACH (2025)
The final message for this EDCON will be a challenge to each one as we would be reminded about the importance of EXPANDING OUR REACH in the coming year. This 2024, we have purposed ourselves to conquer more mountains. In 2025, we will be ready to expand our reach!
Rev. Hooge, Executive Director of School of Tomorrow®, Philippines, and his wife, Lora, grew up as children of missionary families in the Philippines. He was taken to the Philippines in 1948 by his parents, Rev. and Mrs. Frank Hooge. He finished his Junior High at Faith Academy in Manila, but completed his High School at Phoenix Christian High School, in Phoenix, Arizona. In 1962 both he and Lora enrolled at the Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, and soon it became evident that the Lord was directing their lives together. In February 1967, they were approved as missionaries of the Baptist Bible Fellowship and were in the Philippines by December of that same year. They worked with Cavite Bible Baptist Academy in 1978, using the Accelerated Christian Education® (A.C.E.®) program—giving birth to what is now School of Tomorrow®, Philippines. He is also the president of BLESS®, Inc., which uses the ABC’s with Ace and Christi of A.C.E. School of Tomorrow® to minister to children through literacy.
Deputy Director
GENERAL SESSION 2 – OVERCOMING THE MOUNTAIN OF DIFFICUTLY: PROFESSIONAL GROWTH
Are you experiencing growing pains? Then this session is for you as we will be encouraged to pursue personal growth despite difficulties. Hear Pastor Erich’s take on how to overcome certain hurdles towards progress.
WORKSHOP 1 (Pastoral & Administrative Staff) – CLAIMING THE MOUNTAINS OF OPPORTUNITY: CREATING OPPORTUNITIES IN THE MIDST OF DIFFICULTIES
Difficulties in life are unpredictable and often unannounced, but the grace of God abounds and is sufficient to deal with such. Our school leaders are in for a treat as our Deputy Director will share insights on how to create opportunities even in the midst of difficulties.
GENERAL SESSION 3 – RALLY: RESTING ON THE MOUNTAIN OF GOD’S GLORY
Conquering mountains for the Lord is not an easy task. Difficulties and uncertainties await us. But, as we reach the mountaintop, rest is assured by the Lord. Let’s be encouraged with Rev. Santos’ message for our Rally.
Pastor Erich, who took up Visual Communication at the University of the Philippines, began his journey in the education ministry when he was appointed the Pastor-Administrator of Jesus’ Flock Academy in 1987. His involvement with School of Tomorrow®, Philippines, deepened when he was asked to be a part of the staff of the National Student Conventions and later with the Junior Student Conventions. He then became a regular member of the Educators’ Convention team as a speaker. He continues to serve as the Associate Pastor of Jesus’ Flock and the School Pastor of JFA. He is married to Miriam Cuizon and they have two children, John Michael and Maegan Abiel. He currently serves as the Deputy Director of School of Tomorrow®, Philippines.
Executive Manager
GENERAL SESSION 4 – WHY A.C.E. SCHOOL OF TOMORROW®?
The A.C.E. School of Tomorrow® system is the best kept secret in the world. The majority of people who are involved in our country’s education initiative have little to no concept of our system. In this session, Mr. Bautista will be sharing with us points and principles to help us defend why we chose the A.C.E. School of Tomorrow® System.
WORKSHOP 3 (Pastoral & Administrative Staff) – EXPANDING THE MOUNTAIN OF MINISTRY: MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS
Our involvement in Christian Education open up different opportunities in ministering to families and communities. This session will challenge our leaders to see beyond the walls of our schools and recognize the potential of our schools to be a beacon of influence.
Mr. Bautista is no stranger to the A.C.E. School of Tomorrow® curriculum as a graduate of the system himself. He graduated from the Philippine Christian School of Tomorrow back in 2009.
He started working in School of Tomorrow®, Philippines, back in 2011. Then in 2016, he began working in the Executive Office where his gift in administration and organization has been utilized.
Mr. Bautista is a regular speaker in our training, conferences, and conventions.
School Services Senior Manager
WORKSHOP 2 (Pastoral & Administrative Staff) – CLIMBING THE MOUNTAIN OF MATURITY: IMPACTING YOUR MINISTRY THROUGH ENHANCED LEADERSHIP SKILLS
Leadership is not just applicable to people in position. Oftentimes, our leadership skills would have a lateral effect on our ministry’s culture. Find out how we can enhance our leadership skills in this session.
WORKSHOP 3 (Learning Center Staff) – EXPANDING THE MOUNTAIN OF MINISTRY: GROWTH OUTSIDE YOUR EDUCATION MINISTRY
Do you realize that our ministry is not contained within the school setting? So is our growth. We have to realize that we need to grow not just for our involvement in our schools, but also for other opportunities that the Lord will open for us.
Mr. Ermitaño completed his elementary education at the Philippine School in Damman, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and his secondary education at Blessed Trinity School in Las Piñas. He took up a course in Computer Science before joining School of Tomorrow®, Philippines, in 2003.
His first exposure to the system was in the Homeschool Department, formerly known as Living Heritage Academy, when he worked there as a clerk. He was tasked to administer Diagnostic Tests to lower-level students and encode grades in the Learning Management System.
In 2005, he started his creative journey in the ministry and handled the conceptualization and design of the event and program materials both in digital and print. This paved the way for him to expand his ministry reach by handling a newly established MULTIMEDIA DEPARTMENT in 2009.
By 2014, God had a different route in mind for Mr. Ermitaño. He was placed in a very different area where he was given the task to handle the newly organized PROGRAM SUPPORT DEPARTMENT whose main task is the processing, production, and distribution of trade item materials for schools and homeschool families using the A.C.E. School of Tomorrow® System in the Philippines.
Then, in January of 2022, God opened another door for him in the SCHOOL SERVICES DEPARTMENT where he is handling all school-related concerns and the implementation of all planned signature events of the ministry. Along with his ministry in SOT®P, he is also privileged to teach Media & Information Literacy and Empowerment Technologies at the Philippine Christian School of Tomorrow and function as a Media & Project Management Consultant for various ministries in the United Kingdom.

WORKSHOP 1 (Learning Center Staff) – CLAIMING THE MOUNTAIN OF OPPORTUNITY: CREATING PATHWAYS FOR ACADEMIC GROWTH
Growth is inevitable but only profitable if cultivated and put into its proper context. In this session, we will delve into the spiritual and academic aspects of how we can aide our students into a profitable kind of academic maturity.
WORKSHOP 2 (Learning Center Staff) – CLIMBING THE MOUNTAIN OF MATURITY: ALIGNING YOUR CAREER TO THE CALLING OF GOD IN CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
As we progress and mature in our role, we oftentimes draw a line between our calling and our career. This session will emphasize the kind of growth needed to realize that our current ministry is already a career choice in itself and guide us in aligning ourselves to God’s ultimate purpose for Christian Education.
Pastor Moses Tolentino is a thoroughbred of the A.C.E. School of Tomorrow® System, graduating from The Bride of Jesus Christ Leaning Academy in Cebu City, in 2006. His career in education started in IICTI Polytechnic College as an instructor and trainer from 2009-2011.
